Watch the powerpoint, and explain what each of the following things are on the spreadsheet:
- Letters at the top : colums
- Numbers down the side : rows
- Cell reference : each cell ahs a unique row and colum number eg: D11
- Active cell : a empty cell that is currently free and able to use
- formula : is what is used when a picture of file is added to an active cell
- = : the formula is started here
- + : you use this to add something to the formula using this
- - : use this to take somthing off the formula
- * : use this to multiply something
- / : use this to divide something

- Pick a topic to survey the class on e.g. favourite takeway, favourite tryp of animal, pets, tutor class, house, favourite TV program, sports played....
- Survey the class, and write your results on a piece of paper
- Open Microsoft Excel
- Make a table of your results in a new excel e.g. see the example below:
